Fast Break Truck stop with CAT Scale - Muscatine, IA
Coming from the Freightliner dealer off 41st and route 61 it should have turned on #### Drake with the entrance showing on this road for the Fast Break. This is the route accepted as the way trucks get to this stop from 61. Instead it passed this road in favor of Sampson Rd. This is a skinny Residential with multiple stop signs and a very hard right turn to get onto Stewart. It also added 1-2 miles.
got censored. #### is the d -- k word. That's funny.![]()

Now this is the fun part.
Website. Note the address and the "pin" where they show.
Where Google maps places the address. Note this is in the road, which will affect how it routes you.
This is Google Maps first routing choice. You can drag the route around, but do note Google Maps shows this is the first choice (car).
Car mode on TND.
Truck mode on TND.
So, by changing to car mode we do see some sort of restriction is in play here. I will forward this to RM to verify.
I will also note to RM that the address shown is actually in the road, this will be send to HERE (Navteq) for updating.
Thanks,
Markmattbnr, Dieselboss and AZS Thank this. -
Good luck at the tables...mattbnr Thanks this. -
Mark,
Back in 03-09-2013 I wrote about an issue that has returned out of the blue.
Mark, A few months back I posted with an issue...
With time and a better ear, it sounds like "Dirt Road on Route". Before you ask, this usually occurs on interstates with hundreds of mile to go.
You asked for details which I provided: It appears randomly, is inconsistent in that it seldom repeats at the same location, and finally, it's back without any changes to my configs. Other than construction updates, there haven't been any major updates. This was, by your reply, forwarded to the propeller-heads (aka, the coders).

Well, it has taken awhile but I have finally some extra info that you can take upstairs to the analysts.
Last trip: Montreal to Atlanta: I-87, I-88, I-81
Unit: 720
Settings: Warnings On, Audio/Visual (with auto cancel set at 10 seconds)
Voice: Tom
Frequency: at least a dozen times starting at the US border in Champlain NY; (where I was actually in their compound when it started) or when starting to move from a rest area down through Harrisonburg PA
Here's the kicker: The audio message of two words (possibly spanish), with a visual message, in English, says, " Your route will take you on dirt roads for about 0.3 miles" Message is always the same.
This message does not auto cancel.
This issue finally stopped or settled down near Charlotte, NC. and I haven't hear it since. Equals a few days, that is."
I pulled that post here.
This is what usually happens when you get a dirt road warning. If at the beginning of a route then usually it is on route. If you get within 3-20 miles of your next location then usually it is the location.
I would need to know the start/end locations - addresses, any stops along the way. You can PM me that information to keep the locations off the thread. I will test on the latest map data to see if corrected or not.
If you do get a dirt road warning,
1. In your Preferences/General/Screen Snapshot - turn on.
2. A camera icon will show on the upper left of each screen.
3. When you get the dirt road warning, bottom left, click the COG and press the Camera Icon on the Lat/Long screen.
By connecting the TND to a computer and finding the External device which is the TND, go to RM/Users/ScreenSnapshots - you can then attached them to an E-Mail and send to me. PM me for the E-Mail address.
Thanks,
Mark -
Hey Mark, I found another POI issue that may need some attention.
I routed to a TA in Denver, CO. The RM shows it as the TA Commerce City #148
However, when I followed the RM to the checkered flag, I was on a two-way feeder road (Sand Creek) on the wrong side of 270. I think if the RM had told me to turn right onto Quebec and stay on Quebec, it would have gotten me there. As it happened, I had to follow the feeder Sand Creek for a couple miles and make my way to Quebec via 56th St.
After setting this route up again, I get different results when I select the CAT scale icon, and the TA icon, but geographically, they are in the same place....
