Instead of using your finger, try a the end of a pen (tip retracted of course) and light pressure (do not want to gouge the screen). It scrolls better.
Many items are not loaded into memory. So the first time you click on it, it has to load into memory. Once there it will respond faster.
Updates are POI, Global POI, and Construction. It is up to you if you wish to download or not.
Speed limits as stated many times before are in the mapping database and until the new mapping database is released they will be off. Rand knows a few states went from 55 to 65 and California is 55.
If you were sitting in the WalMart parking lot and it did not find it, then you could have went to the Truck Info and then to Tell Rand. Inputted the information and the next update it would have been send in. WalMart provided Rand with the GIS information, so if you find an error, let us know.
Driver Status. Put them to 11/14/70 and then keep it in Off Duty. The counters will never move. In the next version the driver status will be automatic\manual.
Your trip should not be canceled. Rand found a bug in a later Beta version that also may be in version 1573. It has been fixed.
It is a computer - if the route is faster then it will route you that way. You think interstates, the computer thinks fastest. If you do find an area that may be problematic then use the Tell Rand Function and give Rand all the details or post it here.
Again on the 19 exits, details please.
POI's - chose destination, POI's, (area), all, then type in what you are looking for. Understand this is not a yellow pages. Rand gathers data from multiple sources and if Bill Bob Chrome Shop is not there, then use the Tell Rand feature.
If you had read prior posts, custom POI's are not yet available. They are on the feature list like truck washes.
Again, if you find errors in routing, POI's or anything that may be not correct use the Tell Rand Function, BUT give details please. I cannot duplicate the 19 exits since I have no idea where you were.
thanks,
Mark

My unit will do this at times as well.
On this unit, I think it may be related to the battery problem.
The battery or charging system has failed.
Only works when connected to a power source.
Will your unit power up when not connected to a power source? -
Some may have noticed that this units does not have a external antenna connection. Rarely do you need an external antenna unless you are in a car hauler or travel in a lot of mountains constantly.
We have testers in car haulers and they do not need the external antenna.
The internal antenna is located on top of the TND in the middle. Be sure in your location in the truck to allow this part of the TND to have an unobstructed view. IE - do not mound under your CB.
Thanks,
Mark -
You cannot enter in the following street. You can only get it by doing a list of all streets in Madras.
380 NW Alder Street
Madras, Oregon -
Thanks,
Mark -
You didn't read my post correctly. You can find the street by doing a list of all streets in the town. There is a bug that does not allow it to be found via the keyboard as you type it.
I tried NW but that would not work and also Alder.
Google Earth goes right to the address. The street has been there for many many years. -
I used Google Maps. I fowarded it up to Rand to take a look at. Many streets may have been in place, but may not be in Navteq Data. Those if we know can get corrected.
Thanks,
Mark -
the TND finds 380 NW Adler St, Madras, OR...
A D L or A L D?
Thanks,
Mark -
Son of a BEACH, your right. My paperwork has the street misspelled. Sorry.
skykid29 Thanks this.
