When I first bought the 500, after the initial problems were corrected, the unit worked great with only a few glitches. I made the mistake of updating the unit on my hometime and it has been a nightmare ever since. I'm not going to list the problems, unless you really need me to, because, honestly, you name it, and it has messed it up. Is there any solution to fix this now?
It shows my current version as 10.20.1472.1717
I really just want it back to the way it was before the update.
Any help would be appreciated!

Has to "new and improved" update ever come out for the 500 yet?? -
Thanks,

My husband is getting an error message when he tries to enter an address in the address book.
Unable to update entries check if media is in place and not write protected
How do we resolve this? Is he out of memory? Can memory be expanded? How many address book entries should it hold? -
It sounds like a db file error.
Have him connect the TND to the TND Dock and do a back-up, not a full back-up.
How computer savvy is he? The next step will require deleting a file off the TND. It will rebuild.
Thanks,
Mark -
I'm very capable on the computer. I'm doing a backup now. -
Do a backup of your addresses via the back-up on the TND Dock. Then close your TND Dock.
IF you look at "My Computer" you will see an external drive that has the folders Navi and RM on it. Double click on the Navi folder then double click on the User folder. Delete the AddressBook folder and disconnect from the Computer. Reboot the TND completely and then start the TND Dock again. Do a restore. Your TND should be able to save addresses again.
It is important - that between a TND Dock Back-up and a TND Dock Restore that you do not do an update.
Thanks,
Mark
