Then JIT is exactly what they are doing? How many shipments would you say are like this? Also, are the vendors having any problems with scheduling? The logistics major in me is curious, sorry for all the questions.

Mars in Mattoon,Il will hold all of the next days loads until 1900 ensuring that they can not get to 66 before midnight.
Oildry in Blue Mountain Ms will not give any load before date of delivery.
Probably others but those two jump out the most. I have called the ROC and had backhaul changed because I was going to be sitting a couple hours waiting on them. -

Just takes adjustment. And at times it seems a little silly. If I can not find parking I do what we call a Pit stop at my DC. That means they do not enter the load as arriving just note I am on yard. Next day I leave my pit stop and uturn at the gate to deliver.

Now if you make it a regular thing they are probably going to have a word with you. And I do try to find a spot at the truck stops or stop up at the store. However if there are already 15 trucks at the store, and the TS is full........
I have done it once at my home domicile, and once at 6072. No one ever said a word to me.
I did cajole a vendor into giving me my load, with a solemn promise it would not gate until CDD.
