That's funny we were told by a RTM, and GTM of the "ROC" at a grass roots meeting if it came down to it just get there to DC.

They agreed it would be pointless for us to shut down a couple hours early, a mile up the road just because.

Not like different DCs have different rules:rolleyes:

But yeah. I can see some doing that. I could also see why we have lost some managers lately. Heard two senior managers in Transportation are no more. Heard the names but I was not paying attention. Also consolidation of the ROC's.

I know a couple GTM's have been given the opportunity to seek challenges elsewhere.

Pretty sure Greg S and crew are fairly serious about the CDD thing.

We changed gtm's this week. I do wish all the dc's had the same policy, but usually that doesn't work in our favor of they make an across the board ruling.

I usually put my bills in a large brown envelope, seal it, put my trl number on it...then hand it to gate and say I am going in for repairs, sleep, etc and I will continue on in the morning. Then next morning I pick up my papers...pull out the gate, rip out the papers and u turn. Just like Clark Kent used to do in a phone booth:)

Walmart going to allow for weather delays especially in winter time?..hwy shutdowns and such? Or still hand out fines because they don't care?

    Nah weather is excusable.

But we have had issues with vendors not toeing the line because other folks would penalize them for missed shipments while we would not.

Publix, Kroger, Amazon, and Aldi all have similar fines in their contracts. We are just catching up.

It is news because folks love complaining about the big guys. Aldi and Supervalu do it no one cares. [Shrugs]

They have a habit of when you show up to pick up load, to have you wait 2-3hrs and then tell you, it canceled... Basically Amazon's policy is if they don't have enough to fill an entire trailer up they'll cancel the whole load

Yeah I heard that is why Besos bought Wilmington Air Park. Tired of paying FedEx for for loads when they were partials.
