There's that canadian logic again. what a load of crap.I cant tell you how many americans i have seen lose their job in construction because some mexican will do the job for a dollar less .Then their work is so sub standard it doesn't matter how much training you give them they just dont care . Dont want to learn english dont want to be told what to do. Do just enough to skate by.If their so stinking great why wont canada take them . WHAT A LOAD

 

You drivers better pay attention if you think they wont take over your industry given the chance you are dead wrong .Why do you think they come here and spit out all those kids ? SO in time they will out number us then we can become a extension of mexico.

Never said i worked for a company That would replace me with a illegal .I said i know people who had been replaced. If i worked for a company that hired them i would turn them in a heart beat.That's why i work for a union company no illegals rank and file wont stand for it. I dont know what makes you think politicians weather american or canadian give a tinkers #### about what you or i say.I live about one hundred miles from canadian border. I go up around 100 mile house area fishing every summer . sure dont know how illegals are going to cross that border.Know plenty of canadians to all they talk about is the ######## and asians up in vancouver ruining their country

i really think you are missing the point here
the mexican drivers are just doing their job, i am not sure if decent driving jobs are easy to get in mexico but if they get dispatched accross the border --what, you want them to quit on the spot ?
they are just fellow drivers trying to feed their familys and probabely glad to have a job

now if you want to blame somebody--look at who owns the companys these drivers are hauling for many of them are owned by the mega companies who are in the US and also have their cut rate terminals in canada
its not the mexicans per say taking over--its the same companies that you drive for right now--cutting the wage and cost to nothing by hiring the mexicans and having a mexican company that costs pennies on the dollar to operate

 

Trans-Mex is the one owned by Swift.thus far, I've only seen Trans-Mexright near the border, even while the last cross-border program was in effect.

 

I guess were going to have to agree to disagree. But let me ask you are you going to take loads into mexico? do you have good life insurance to cover your family? Im really not concerned whether they have good jobs or not . If there are no good jobs in mexico who let it get that way? I See nothing wrong with the current system DROP&LEAVE.im so tired of all the bleeding hearts telling me that these people are just trying to make a living .They sneak across the border like criminals and im just supposed to embrace them.If they want me to embrace them they need to do it legally. Have you ever gone to mexico? And im not talking about the touristy places.Im talking about the real side of mexico the place is a dump.What are you going to do when one of those crappy trucks kills a member of your family cause i know what i will do.I Dont really come here to argue or put anyone down i have alot of respect for drivers bordering on envy but when you ask me to surrender my country to filth disease and corruption then we got a problem.
