not sure----i dont think there has been any good canadian politicians since maybe the 50's
and i dont think there really is any fear of being taken over by either canada or mexico--we did try very subtely with hockey players and tim hortons---but since all the expansion teams came up --that has gone down hill

i actually read someplace that a few mexicans go to canada to then sneak into the US--- and of course a some canucks do sneak accross--but that is probabely an equel amount of mericans and canadians sneaking both ways
and of course with the military being deployed all over from the us---there are quite a few going that route as well--not wanting to go --so they take a canadian holiday---got to watch canadian news for that one
but then again quite few canadians do join the Us military --so it is a give and take on that route as well--one would think with all the jobs that went to mexico--they wouldnt have to sneak accross to find a job

How can you figure it wouldn't create more jobs?

When the canadian driver drops his trailer or frieght, an U.S. driver would have pick it up for delivery, now the canadian driver just makes the delivery, then (s)he picks up a load to go back to canada. (Because we all know that a canadian trucking firm would never commit cabbotage and do a load point to point in the U.S.)

With everbody doing the hauling in thier own country everybody has more work.

On just one cross border load from either the north or south of the U.S. border creates two loads in the U.S. One load from the border to the U.S. destanation, and a prob. load from whatever that forgien truck was going to pick up to a border.

it would add a lot of cost to the load to get it switched and stuff--the only ones it would benifit would be the companys that have offices in both the us and canada cause they could do everything themselves---like werner /celedon/pumpkin---its getting bad enough with us companies cutting the rate now in canada---that way they could cut even lower and everybody would suffer
