    Actually they don't wear the same... the front set wears a little faster.

    I had a CPU on a truck I drove several years ago take a hard crash.

    Truck was towed to Cummins and I got a new CPU. The mechanic called
    my company to get the governed speed and set that.....

    I asked him about the tire size rpms and he set mine correctly and ensured me that only Cummins factory specs were in the CPU.

    Long story short....I could out pull and out run any other truck in the fleet.....by about 4 mph.

    It got better fuel economy with the new CPU as well..probably because
    our smarter than Cummins mechanics hadn't been in there screwing around with settings.
