Started Home Time on Friday got a letter in the mail from Crst Thanking me for all my efforts in the last 8 month and since my Contract is up July 3rd.
They wanted to inform me due to the current tax laws they must treat the contract as an additional 1,500.00 of income and that FICA must be with held. A Total tax due 114.76. But Being the great company that they are they are going to take it out in installments of 28.69. I have read my contract twice there's nothing in it about taxes. but o well. July 5th I go back to the truck sign on and resign July 6th I start my new job driving local. But Hey it's all still good I got what I needed ( My CDL ) So to all who are thinking about going to CRST this is just a heads up as a waring there gonna tax you at the end of your contract.
Surprise your 8 month is up heres your tax bill

CRST wants to recruit me...I've had my cdl since 09 but have been driving straight truck...so they asking me to take a 12 refresher in cedar rapids Iowa... I need a little advice here...
I need to improve my situation but not sure which way to go... I have no otr experience but hold a cdl with 3 cred.
Is crst ok for otr experience? Are they fair minded? Anything I need to know before I agree?

over all there really not that bad if your looking to get experience, it's better if you have someone to team with before you go so you don't have to play the co driver shuffle.

I paid for my own schooling and got to deduct $2500 off my taxes. I actually made money on the deal.
