If he says he turned the boat TOWARD the rocks and closed his eyes shows intent to me, locked away for life is the best they should hope for.

I was not only driving a truck at 18 i owned it. Heck if I'm honest that's just the legal driving. There was a lot of runs i made before then. Potential 18 year old drivers aren't the problem. Improperly trained drivers are the problem and that doesn't have an age restriction.

When I came out of school one of my instructors said hold up. You run out there and hire on to trucking. Remember rule 1 Do not kill people or hit them if at all possible

The Akron Oh Incident during road construction of the interstate in between 2 8 foot walls was one of my most dangerous. I come up on this GMC Jimmy, a sort of alightweight 4x4. Stalled out in my lane eastbound. Batch of cars on my left trying to get past my governed speed of 60 and Mr Smokey on my decap bumper. Had been for 5 miles driving smooth as a river showboat will do some days.

The Jimmy contained three kids pressing their hands and noses into the back glass seeing me come on fast. The parents were in the front. I noticed the spare tire was mounted using one bolt to hold it to a swivel type tail gate carrier for spares etc.

Using my last seconds I think I had about 14 seconds, burned 4 evaluating the row of cars stuck on my left. So I pulled a crazy loco bronc on the 4 of them. They took off. was down to about 31-29 somewhere in there. I let my foot off the service brake and steered into the Left wall with the hope of catching the trailer before it got uncontrollable from such abuse.

Long story short. 14 seconds 5 people etc. Kobayashi Maru - Wikipedia as far as I am concerned.

Im glad smokey had a pair of clankers standing on his front end in all out braking. Thus validating the theory up to that time "If I stop. Can YOU?!"

The truck on the right shoulder was probably a Sealy Mattress route truck. You could not find anything softer. Just be sure to lock your shoulder belt in the time you have left to the smash. Do not stop standing on your brakes, Truck ABS has evolved since my time and opens up a world of possibilities.

Easy Spyder. That's a sensitive subject. Many still prefer the tried and true method of hiring drivers from underneath overpasses.
