My brother just signed on with this outfit. Apparently they're primarily a flatbed company. So now we have two truckers in the family. :)

He had no idea flatbed work was that much, well... work. :laughing6:

...Trimming trees along power lines, and more recently supervising crews.

I was just glad to hear he's not in that line of work anymore.

He's had a guy training him so far this week, and seems to find it interesting so far.

Now, if I can only get him to log in here and read some of what you guys have to say...:)

    Thank you, sir.

I didn't realize he even had an "A" license. I thought he had what PA calls a "class B restricted".

Finding a company to take someone with no experience is often a tall order, and with the likes of recruiters from Swift, CRE, and Western Express blowing his phone up, I'd say he done well finding a smaller company to start out with. I told him to do nothing less than RUN from the bottom feeders. Run fast, run far, run silent, run deep, but RUN and don't look back.

Come on we all know that can't be done.
Just ask all of the experts on this site that come running when someone is trying to get started trucking.

Hope it all works out for him.

It's a toss up whether a small company will be good or not. It's almost a guarantee a mega will be bad. Congrats to your brother. And get him on here. Training can only cover so much. Flatbedding is a never ending education.
