Neatest trick I saw was a small cordless leaf blower. Worked great. At the fuel island is prolly not a great idea, it will usually be right after when you get in there at night when it will get busy. There are lots of dumb bass drivers that have to park at the fuel islands because they don't know what the "R" stands for on the auto trans they are driving, and can't back for crap anyhoo. Also, lots of lazy saggy pants drivers that park at the fuel island to go get six bags of McDoubles or take a 1/2 hour long shower then shop in the store. You would really inconvenience a lot of these folks if you spent five minutes sweeping your trash into a bag and throwing it away like you said. In all reality though you really should do it at the consignee. Try the leaf blower....looked pretty slick to me and fits in the dog box no problem.

I don't see a problem as long as no trucks have to wait to fuel and he doesn't sweep the trash into the lot.

Some of you guys are a little to legalistic. No harm no foul.

I walk my trailer after it is unloaded looking for damage and debris and try to sweep their crap out right there.

if not it will be swept out as soon as possible, preferably on their property.

never could figure out why they can't sweep all the wood and paper debris from their load out.

"they don't have time" or "not their job" doesn't cut it with me. it's from their load so it's their crap. at least on the trailer I'm using, as I keep the same one for a while and try to keep it clean.

it was clean when it went on, I want it clean when it comes off. :biggrin_25516:

    rant over now, thnx.

If I saw a so-called-driver sweeping his trailer out at the fuel pumps, I would say he has no respect for others, and is more of a steering wheel holder than a trucker.

So you just sweep it out onto the ground? That is wrong no matter where you are. At least the OP wasn't going to do that.

You don't really have to knock them down. Just stick your finger in their eye & their priorities change immediately. The pain so excrutiating they quit being aggressive immediately. The pain lasts for days or weeks. I'm older than you & have never used my fists in my entire life; only one finger and it's over. No special training required!

There is no reason why you can't just sweep out the trailer at the shipper. If I was a manager of owner of a truck stop, I would frown on anyone who feels the need to sweep out their trailer at my fuel island.

usually not on the ground as it is a live unload and they cooperate.

BUT, if need be their trash will be on their ground, preferably in a bag if I have one.
