Pull up next to the scales and sweep it out. I think when most of us are on a tight schedule at night and just need fuel, it's difficult enough to deal with all of the other folks who use the fuel island for temporary parking while they deal with life.

Again, this is late at night at truck stops that have 10+ available fuel islands and not one truck is getting fuel yet every parking space is full... I am sure you guys have driven at night and seen the fuel pumps empty correct? Anyway, since some of you guys are overacting about a simple question, that answers my question in that I should try to find another place to take 5 minutes to slide my broom across a trailer since the world will end if I do it in an empty fuel aisle where no one can even see what I am doing. For the record, a lot of times during the day when it is busy I don't even park at the fuel island if there is an available truck parking. I do see those lazy inconsiderate people who leave their truck in the fuel aisle forever with trucks waiting, yes those guys suck.

Yes and he proved his stupidity but not even taking a few seconds to read where I stated that there is no parking available at night. I didn't even bother to reply to him since it looks like his life sucks already.

Don't see the problem. The OP basically stated that this would be when he apparently had no other alternative, and that he would not leave a mess. Seen many O/O's tie up an empty fuel bay (no one waiting) in the middle of the night trying to figure out some problem going on under their hood or on their trailer. Disrespectful or unprofessional, no, just using the best resource available to them at the time. The same as the OP was stating.
