Swift all over the IL/MO cragslist listings looking for students......

Probably just trying to keep their pond stocked.

 

We are not in the first quarter of the year any more companies are able to spend more and there is now more freight. And there is no wait on trucks when a recruiter tells you that or a dispatcher they are lying they are just to lazy to send you somewhere to get one or give you a new truck

 

They are spamming just about every market in the country.

I live in the Pacific Northwest and they are in the local Transport jobs section almost every day, along with U.S. Express, CRST and Gordon. Not sure if it's indicative of the time of the year or a major shortage of available fresh meat.

I received a call from my previous employer last week, offered me a 5k sign-on bonus, a new truck and right at .50 a mile to train. I thought about for about 1/10 of a second

 

There's a tractor shortage at a good majority of the Swift terminals...at least, thats what they tell you. Go tell em you want to run teams directly after training. They're magically find you a brand new volvo with the plastic still wrapped around the bunks that same day...

ya i know, had a swifty bust his balls to pass me the other day, then he changes lanes 4 feet in front of me to take the upcoming rest area exit that was 50 yds down the road..... He had a turbin on his head too.

 

I had a Schneider driver try to pass me in a construction zone that was marked trucks use right lane only . So he's in the left lane and sees the exit he wants to take a half mile ahead . He puts his turn signal on and starts waving and pointing . I wave back and stay beside him right past the exit .
Last week on I-10 in TX I was doing 65 in the center lane when a Werner driver in the right lane ahead of me doing 60 decides he'll move to the center lane . I move to the left lane and pass him . After I pass him he moves to the left lane still doing 60
