Thanks everyone for all the info. I think I'm going to go with swift, seems to be the lesser of two evils. They also have a terminal here so I have a place to leave the truck when I do get some home time. Anyone currently working for swift have any other info that might be useful. Or even just some basic info about the company, hiring process, training, operations, things about their trucks that would be good to know ect...

I'am starting with swift on the 21st i ve been on the recuriter butt about checking all my background and drivers record before i get there. Reason being is because i dont wont to get sent home for something small or writen wrong. From my understanding CRST does that. How strict are they i have no felonys, but i have had two tickets back in 09 in my car, i just got my in feb with the dmv......

I work for Werner, my time with them has been pretty good so far. I know you read a lot of bad stuff about Swift and Werner on here but to each there on. I've met driver's with Swift and Werner and it's a 50/50 split on those that are happy and those who aren't. I wanted to be home wknds and still make around a grand a week, so I went with the dedicated Dollar General account. It's hard work but I've been home every wknd since I started with my trainer and to date. Whatever you choose good luck and make the best of it.....

Failed drug tests, not being honest on their apps. Girl in my orientation got sent home cause she wasn't 21 yet (I stifled myself from ranting about did you not check all the qualifications, but I also have to remember that I have mild color blindness, so I always check everything because of it). If you are a good driver and work hard you will soon get noticed and get good miles at swift. My first month solo was fairly crap pay wise but as I've learnt the system and worked hard I know have to push pta's back just so I'm not continually runnin, I just need some time occasionally to smell the roses and just chill.
