No problem JM. Personally, I'd like to know if Swift is going to bid for one more. If so, I'd expect the driver number to go to 300.

Nailed it. In addition, we picked up Brundidge, AL. The addition of these four makes 13 Swift is contracted to.

There will be day cab/slip seat positions, and there will be non slip seat company and O/O positions. This is DC to store delivery with occasional backhaul. There may be as many as four stores on a trailer, or delivery to one store and return to the DC. If you live close to the DC, you could potentially be home every day.

Does Swift have any Target Dedicated accounts in Al? I live close to the Target DC in Madison/Decatur AL.

I'll have to ask. I haven't been keeping up with the Target fleet.

Swift has Target out of the Lake City FL Grocery DC and hulas their reefers. It is a team operation I think. I have yet to see a solo doing it because of how it is run.

Called my Mentor to wish him a happy birthday last week. He told me that the L/O pay for the Walmart dedicated in Florida came over the QC. $.975 a mile + stop pay.

Evidently the pay on this is $.37 a mile. And $10 a stop after the first stop.

My source tells me the drivers are only getting 900-1000 miles a week.

Can anyone tell me more about Swift's dedicated account with Target I believe in Columbus Ohio? How far out do they hire and do you have to have time with Swift or do they hire from the outside? I have 7 years of driving experience.

It's a bit of a mess down there right now, with the switch over and remote dispatching. One of our DMs is in Ocala now trying to help straighten it out. Once the bugs are worked out of it, I would imagine it will run the same as up here.

But, last week, a few heads rolled over how the account was being handled. Won't be long with our guy down there. He's quite the organizer.

Might consider starting a new thread with your question. The people who have the answers you need may not see this buried under all the crap here.
