Hmmm....no idea how Swift can afford to pay me $1.285/mile plus stop pay at that rate.

When you actually know what you're talking about, please feel free to contribute.

The same rate I'm getting is being offered in the new acquisitions......Sweetie. Swift is not in this business to lose money on any account. Apparently, that got by you somewhere.

Sounds a bit low on the 1.25 per mile.. but you very well may be right I know greatwide was trying to get a "cost of living raise" of 3% so your number is spot on there. I know this as we had meetings with big shots that old us they were going for 3% or so raise.. Your numbers seem low but you nailed the % GW was trying to increase.. So I wouldn't flippantly dismiss it as others have.

From what I was told, company drivers get a little more than $.30/mile and you won't get paid by the mile unless you get a run over 376 (I believe is the mileage) miles. Up to that point, it's a two tier flat amount. You also do NOT get stop pay until after the first two stops (a 3 stop run will only net you 15 extra dollars).

I'll admit when I am wrong.

They are going to pay L/O's and O/O's $1.25 a mile.

The GW O/O said he was looking at $500-800 a week drop in pay. Plus having to buy a newer truck when the old one was paid for..
