My grandma used to drive with swift and she had her husband and her dog with her but what i have read so far they don't allow pets anymore so now im kinda worried i wont be able to go with her either. She is supposed to be going to the driving school march 1st. Any information would be great thank you!!

as long as you do not have a CDL, are over the age of 12 and your partner contacts Swift and arranges it, you should be able to. Oh and if your partner is not teaming already.
GuysLady Thanks this. -

and he will have to pay for the insurance for you on the truck, but it's minor..like 10 bucks a week. Heck, I paid that so they'd think my wife was on truck and keep the qualcomm unlocked
!
Texas-Nana and Wiseguywireless Thank this. -
If she is just starting school and training in March, then it will be awhile before she is on her own. Also, you may also want to giver her some time to run on her own and get settled or into her own groove, before having a rider.
It is always a little more distracting to have a rider, and, when you are still a rookie it is also a bit more stressful, cause as a rookie you will have some uncertainty, and things to deal with. When you are on your own, you figure it out and move on, but, when you have a rider it can be a bit more stressful and embarrassing....
So remember she is taking on a new career and facing challenges... So, if she doesn't feel ready to take you to ride along be respectful of that. I only just now took my partner along for a partial ride along. I knew I would be going near her sisters, about 150 miles away from her sisters, so, she rode with me for a few days and then her sister meet us at a truck stop and picked her up ad she visited with her sister and then flew home. I am glad we did it that way, because, It took me awhile to get back home, I was out about an extra 9 days, and she didn't have that much vacation time. So, you also have to consider those things.
I am sure she will ride along with me again somtime, but, she realizes and respects that I don't want to have the added stress of not being able to get her home when she wants or needs, and I understand and respect, that she also has a career and can't just drop it all and ride along with me.
Also, she work hard and is an awesome woman, she deserves a better vacation than riding along with me in my truck. I feel bad that she uses her vacation time for that... I would rather she save it until we can both go on vacation together.. Somewhere much more fun and romantic than my truck. -
Swift used to require some driving experience before you could take a rider along. Now, you are allowed to have a rider soon as you finish your 6 weeks with a mentor. However, I agree it would be best to wait.
