I got my cdl through a 3rd party tester, would suck to have to go back and retest years later.

"The 730 or fewer plaintiffs had to meet a Nov. 17, 2012, deadline to get payment."

And where did the bulk of the settlement payment go to? If you guessed to the lawyers, you're correct.

Yes, the lawyers got the money and this fool thing went on for 5 years. money talks...a lot. Notice that the LE in this case retracted any statements of wrongdoing by swift and no charges were pressed. I have 20 plus years of LE experience and the ATF, Secret Service, FBI, and State Cops don't just don't show up and investigate this sort of stuff in force unless they have a valid reason from a valid source.

Corporations can easily hide from the law or at least just sweep it "swiftly" under the rug.

It's one thing to not get a paid a lot as an unexperienced truck driver going to a large carrier, however, getting trained improperly, at the trainees expense is just flat out wrong and irresponsible. Typical corporation too, fights it for 5 years. I would have a lot more respect of this issue had they just taken the steps to fix it.

So what other gray area(s) might Swift be dealing in to their benefit?? thats what I wonder.

so...the same company that is SOOOOOO into safety that it now requires driver to log more time for pretrips, and to log ON DUTY time at shippers/receivers did not comply with minimum standards in cdl testing. and then after all those drivers lost their license and the RIGHT thing to do wouldve been to issue refunds immediately to 8k past students, theyd rather take it to court to see what they are legally required to do? ill say it again.... SWIFT IS A CROOKED, THIEVING COMPANY. anyone going to work for them, it must be because youd fail the drug test anywhere else...gotta be high.

actually, this is a situation with any company that does in house cdl testing in their own yard, even if it is done by a dmv examiner not just swift... those cdl's can be called in and re tested at a dmv testing site and the skills could be different from the ones taught at the company...

I doubt that swift would be soooo dumb to simply not do the tests or fake results that are clearly wrong... as a matter of fact, i flunked swift academy road test and had to go to a private school and passed my exam yesterday... and they can kiss my arse, not that I am resentful or anything...

I guess I am just mad they waited for me to get there to raise the bar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
