Hello, I'm doing some research trying to figure out what company that I could do well driving for. Looking at Swift's website, I didn't see any info about their equipment. So here is my questions:

    • What kind of transmissions?
    • E-logs or paper
    • Qual-comm with GPS or Qual-comm only?
    • APU, diesel bunk heater, or other climate control?
    • Per-Diem?
    • Inverter Policy

I know that there is alot more to a trucking co than just equipment, these fourms are great for that. Just some questions that I've not seen answers to yet. Thanks.

9 or 10 speed manual tranny
    E-logs
    Qcom with GPS
    Bunk heater only
Per-Diem - yes, if you sign up for it
Inverters not officially allowed, but many of us have small plug-in inverters in the 75-150W range.

There are some 13 speeds floating around too as I had one for a little bit. The "heavy haul" costco account uses 13's as well.

    Is your Qual-Comm an MPC-200?

Dose Swift have a strick dress code, like no facial hair, ect?

Just no open toed shoes. Also no leather soles, rubber is preferred. We don't have uniforms, but neatness is good.

I have seen some female drivers that might look better with a beard, and some males that haven't seen a razor in years!

I think they are picky on piercings too. At least they were school. Also if you look in the driver handbook it says one can't wear a leotard and tights.

Lol, yeah, I too have seen some rough looking women drivers. I guess that makes since though, a pretty, petite woman doing her pre-tirp at 3 am in a truck stop could be in serious trouble.

Fair enough dress code. I thought about applying with Avrett till I found out that no beards and gotees allowed. And you must wear their uniform that you pay for through a payroll deduction. Really? Are they a trucking co or a military?

Their company, their standards. I don't like uniforms myself but would rather a good job than fussing over what I wear.
