Yes, he could have gone to work the next day after being fired with either of those companies.
Shouldn't have let that cdl expire or he could go to work today with a simple refresher course.

I wouldn't mention the debt to Swift anymore. Swift, many times, lets that slip through the cracks.

Hell, Trans Am is advertising a $900 per week guarantee for home daily dedicated. They also have APU and direct tv on the truck. Hell, now that I mention it I may go apply myself

Apply with Stevens Transport. Worst that can happen is "application rejected." Seems they have a pretty good cdl school.
Do their online application before any phone calls though.
Same with Carolina Logistics; check this company for cdl school.

    G13Tomcat Thanks this.

I've also heard that CFI (maybe due to their changing many hats "?") is pretty lenient .... perhaps?

I wondered that as well. Man needs a fresh new 'mindset' if he really wants this.

I was recently given a second chance. I must say I am a different driver today than I was just one year ago. People mature thru bad experiences. Sometimes.

I'd want himnto start back at square one. Swift CDL training can be hit or miss on how well they teach the basics, and this guy needs the basics. If he can run thru a reputable school he'll have a better shot at being successful this time.

Chinatown, TripleSix and ladr Thank this.

My take, if it looks sketchy or feels wrong it probably is. Stop before its your problem. If I only would of followed my own advice, right.

TransAm will hire you if you rolled a truck 30 minutes ago; you probably called before submitting an appliction. Go back to CDL school and you'll have a job the day you graduate; but, don't make any phone calls first.

    Jmans and RedRover Thank this.
