Injun, I met up with Oldnewbiegonnabe a while back when he was with Swift, and you know what I found interesting? The fact that a lot of the BS I hear on this site pertaining to Swift, or any mega carrier for that fact, could not be replicated by him. Here's a guy who went to school and straight to Swift, this is where the horror story for most of these threads start, but we sat and ate and he told me about good miles, fair treatment, and the fact that if he just does as he's asked, yes I said asked, not told, that he's able to keep moving and make a decent weeks wage.
Now he has since moved on from Swift, but the point I'm trying to make, especially to some others on here is that it's not a crime for someone like Injun, or Oldnewbie to have the backs of these mega-carriers. Hell if it wasn't for Swift or many other companies there'd be a ton of guys with CDL's and nowhere to go.
This guy made a mistake, and rather than fessing up to his mistake and owning them like a man, he's opted to put the blame on Swift and it's not justified. I've made some mistakes within the past few months which have led me to take another direction in life and leave employment from a company where I had been employed for the previous 4 years(see "Pritchett Trucking" on the forum), but I realize I made a few questionable choices, as did my previous employer that led to us parting ways but I can't come on here and unjustifiably bad mouth them.
This isn't a suck up session, but Injun stay proud of who you work for if they treat you good, that goes for you as well Nate. At the end of the day everyone needs to realize the reason this guy was released is based fully on mistakes he made, not Swift. -

2) She's at a shipper/receiver.
3) She's on her 10-hr break. -
Then buddy you need to look harder, I don't work for swift and to this point have not but I can tell you from my experience reading Swift threads that Injun is the straightest shooter and will SLAM them for their screw ups, this driver made mistakes, apparently too many for swift to tolerate, you seem to be the only one that won't see that!
I for one would have fired his butt if it was my truck too, but then again I'm a bit nit picky when it comes to safety and damage...Injun Thanks this. -

Nate980....
So with these stats he knows soooooooo much about trucking???? really???
He wouldn't even be old enough to drive interstate in the USA! -
Well, Drew, perhaps it's because it only take a minute or two to type a message.
I don't bother logging off with my Android, so it appears I'm always on, whether I'm looking at stuff or not.
I don't have to run "all those miles" any more. All I have to do is make an average of three deliveries in each of six days, watch my fuel and be on time. That's how I make close to $2K this week. To be fair, I fueled about 30 minutes too early last week, so my check was only $650. But, between the two weeks, running 2,800 miles I cleared $2,600...not including the $560 set aside for maintenance between the two weeks.
Yeah. This job really sucks.
But again, it's irrelevant to the discussion. -
I don't work for Swift but if things went down the way the drivers claims they did he should be fired. The company is in the right in this situation and the driver is in the wrong.
I'm all for attacking Injun's, but this aint a western so lets leave it alone. -
