Flatbed is WAY TOO MUCH WORK for the piddly little extra Swift pays you. NO WAY would I consider flatbedding as an O/O, the extra fuel alone wouldn't make it worth it. -
Lol I don't do fb for the extra cash. I do fb because I love it. There's more benefits as well besides the extra money; we have mostly open windows for p/u and delivery, we get good long mileage trips, our support staff out of phx and Gary are top notch, we get a small company feel due to low amount of fber's along with a company that has access to tons of freight. While the bonuses of fb aren't apparent at first you get to see them as time goes on. As far as a l/o with fb the only slight negative would be decreased fuel mileage. Most fber's are getting around 6-7.
