Wow, MS Carriers trailer. A lot of people liked working for them.

    2007 SafeStat statistics from the FMCSA... My company= 2,500 trucks, involved in 2 fatalities.....Swift 19,000 trucks...involved in 169 fatalities....
Swift had the highest fatality accident percentage of any large shipping company in the country

Why do you think that is happening?

Yep, I believe the driver of the big truck might be taking a look around before finishing backing into the building. At least he didn't try squeezing it into one of the short doors to his left & turn the trailer into a convertible.

I don't understand the pallet behind the gooseneck on the little truck myself. Looks like it is rubbing against the backside of the gooseneck & I would venture to say at least one of those bags on the pallet didn't make it where it was going without damage.

In this case I wouldn't have a problem with Swift or any driver! He is probably opening or closing doors or sliding tandems all the way back to be able to make tha tight turn he's going to have to make! Naah This is a SOB hole and I'll sit and wait! The pillars can tear the heck out of a truck! But you have to admit it WAS a good job of getting where he is in the picture! Even I would even be sweating that one!

If you look close that is a Swift tractor hooked to the trailer. Swift bought MS Carriers and still pulls some of their trailers.

You are correct sir. I still occasionally pull an MS trailer. And they are in desperate need of repairs 80percent of the time.

You don't think that single tire rear axle pulling that gooseneck is ever overweight do you ? I wonder what weight those tires are rated for .

MS/Swift driver was out of his cab for at least 20 minutes before backed up about 100 feet to a place I could turn around.

And, even though it looks like it is, that pallet under the goose neck is not strapped down.:)

Be willing to bet that single wheel has seen some overloads in it's time. Maybe he thinks he is running super singles.:biggrin_255:

Yep it does look like the pallet is strapped to the flatbed. Guess he didn't have any room left on the trailer deck so just fit it where he could. Probably has a couple of pallets stuffed in the rear of the crew cab too.:biggrin_25523:
