Yes, now on the message boards, I have really started to notice this fact. At first I thought that it was just someone who was lazy with the way that they posted things on the internet? Can it be that Swift recruits from a pool of stupid people? Maybe this is how they figure that they can keep more people after treating them like xxxxxx .

I went to college to and have a degree in business administration. Recently, I went back to college, with the unemployment office footing the bill, for school teaching. I finished the program but there are layoffs everywhere now. So since I have trucking business experience, and live near countless truck depots, my plans are to get my CDL and eventually drive on the weekends and holidays while I teach during the school year.

I have noticed that there are less and less of college educated required jobs out there. As our manufacturing goes south, so do the good jobs that often require a college degree. Today, if you have a college degree you will be the manager of retail or food based business or some other service based company.

Sometimes you can get really professional terminal based management that makes you respect and believe in the company. Nice to hear you talk positive about a positive work environment.

And thus you insult the intelligence of Swift employees? Could you please attach any links or articles for your claims of Swift employees being recruited from the "stupid" pool? Or is that simply the small minded and highly insulting personal opinion you hold as a non member of the trucking industry?

These companies, Swift, JB Hunt, Schnieder, Werner, etc, the ones with their own schools, are notorious for hiring anyone to try to help deal with thier high turnover because of the bad management. You can see it in the way these people post. Of course you can have intelligent people work for these companies as well. As far as the comment about non member of the trucking industry, I have worked in countless trucking based businesses and have rubbed elbows with all of the company drivers out there. I can go back to remembering companies like APA or St. Johnsbury (probubly wrong spelling), or even Sea-Land.

    The "Unemployment Office"?
    Who is the unemployment office?
    :dontknow:
Where did the unemployment office earn the money it footed your bill with? :dontknow:
Does the unemployment office have a job?:dontknow:
    Or receive donations?:dontknow:

I've heard of the Department of Employment, and know they derive income from the taxpayers, and wonder if it's the same with the UNemployment office.

If so, as a concerned tax paying citizen, I'm curious why you didn't pay for your schooling your self?
As it stands now, you're educated in a depressed profession, currently laying off teachers to keep the budget balanced, meaning your chances are slim to be hired to teach,
You didn't pay for it though, unless you intend to pay us back.
You didn't mention your plans in that regard, one way or the other.

You also mentioned that you have "trucking business experience".
Does any of that experience include driving a Big truck?
Or just bumping elbows with the real deal?
