apparently you missed one of the initial replies from someone. They have to be able to read, write, and speak english at a minimum level to communicate with customers, law enforcement, and the general public. Hence, if they can't, they shouldn't be driving, hence, CSP needs to be aware of this and shut them down.

    Over and out!

Here is one of very few cases that "and" is both a preposition and a conjunction at the same time.

I admit it is a rare instance...but by the definition of "preposition"...many words have/can have dual functions...either standing alone or in combination with other words or phrases.:biggrin_25514:

Hmm. It appears I was wrong. I was reading a reference to Bill 22 that said French AND English were the official languages, even though Quebec says French is the sole official language. My reference: "Section 1, which provides that French is 'the official language of the province of Quebec,' is misleading in that it suggests that English is not also an official language in Quebec, which it is by virtue of Section 133 of the BNA Act and the federal Official Languages Act. ... No legislation in the National Assembly proclaiming French the sole official language in the province can affect these bilingual areas protected by the BNA Act."

But I guess Bill 101 replaced (or more technically, supplanted) Bill 22 a couple years later (1977 or so), and made French the sole official language at the provincial level, which would include business communications.

    So, my apologies. :)
