Just make sure you tell the truth and answer any questions asked. Just make sure that you read the application carefully and answer all questions honestly.

Injun and G/Man are right. Read and answer the question, no more, no less. And definitely not what you think they want to know--you do not and will not know what they want. If the HR folks want more after reviewing your application, they will either get the information or ask you for it.

Please use common sense here and take any and all guess work out of this equation and look up your record at http://www.wsp.wa.gov/crime/crimhist.htmion .

What ever is listed there should be listed on the job application and nothng else- ever.

While honesty generally is the best policy like many posters here claim it only matters what arrests have been documented on your
Criminal History Record Information (Background Check)
    & DMV http://www.dol.wa.gov/driverslicense/requestyourrecord.html records.

This is Washington State's offical position:

Employers who ask about arrests must ask whether the charges are still pending, have been dismissed, or led to convictions.
Employers who obtain a conviction record must notify employee within 30 days of receiving it, and must allow the employee to examine it. May make an employment decision based on a conviction only if it is less than 10 years old and the crime involves behavior that would adversely affect job performance.
If a conviction record is cleared or vacated, applicant may answer questions as though the conviction never occurred.
Applicable legislation: Washington Rev. Code 44.43.815; 9.94A.640(3), 9.96.060(3), 9.96A.020; Wash. Admin Code 1621240

So please, do your self a huge favor don't ever volunteer any extra info to anyone and get the job.

I'd be honest and report the whole thing. I would think being upfront and honest about your past is the best way to show a company you've changed, matured, and are looking to make a life for yourself. I could be wrong.

    G/MAN and scottied67 Thank this.

I am much more likely to give a driver a break who is honest than one that tried to deceive me or lie. I figure that if someone lies about one thing that they will lie about something else. Honesty is always the best policy. I would not necessarily volunteer anything, but if asked I would be truthful.

I told everything to werner and the decline my app. I was arrested in 1991 when I was 19 Yrs old no jail time on probation paid I fine off probation then spent the next 20 years in the navy arrested in 1993 drunk intoxication in fl released on own no fine or jail time. i have nothing to hide it seems like my buddy say dont tell them #### if its more then 10 years i belive and laying it out. If you want me then we can go and we can trust each other if I lie I might be out of a job and or we can not trust each other and it will take a while to build that trust

Look from my experience with Swift, I would just be honest. I had some past issues dating as far back as 1986. Two to be exact and let them know on the application. Investigations or security whatever it was called at the time called me and I explained what happened. I'm not a criminal just made some stupid mistakes and was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

    I was hired @ Swift
    Stevens Transport- said yes
England said yes but was last resort
    And FFE said yes

Numerous other companies and one year later Shaffer-Crete said yes.

I was honest on all apps and told them about the issues when I was young and dumb. The best thing for you to do is just be honest and list them with an explanation... then go from there. If you don't list them and they happened to go that far back your SOL.

Tell exactly what they ask, they give a lot of folks second chances, so you sould be ok, unlike werner. Few yrs back I try going there they deny my app saying (they thought my license was suspended 2 yrs ago) only had it 5 days so how can u think it was suspended.
