I seem to have noticed a certain vacuum in this thread lately. My attacker has crawled back under his rock with his tail between his legs. Hard numbers are very difficult to dispute, especially when there is a paper trail to back them up.

That's the thing I love about math. It's a hard science and the numbers mean what they mean. Not like words of the English language that can mean any of a dozen different things depending on context. Numbers have no context. They just are. And they cannot be disputed.

So, bye-bye, troll. (not you, Ms. Nana) Have a great time trying to discredit someone else. Ciao!

On a different but related topic, should I include my ten years driving fire trucks, water tenders, rescues and ambulances to my total? And what about the year or so I spent at old Uncle Al's house playing in the yard under the watchful eye of my Aunt Pearl right in front of that big ol' truck he drove? I understood the virtues and drawbacks of fifth-wheel grease before I could even say those words...does that count?

Dunno if they are doing this or not, but dont think swift ever 'pre-hires' anybody. and if they DO...they do so before they ever do any real backround checking. I know of a few students who graduated the school i went to the week before our class, who are based where i'm based...and another guy who took a CDL class in St. Louis...all came to orientation the same time i was there....and THEN they were told "oh you have some things on your backround that you didn't disclose"...and sent them a packin'. So, actually, if they DID extend a 'pre-hire' thingy for ya....don't be shocked when they look a bit harder, and find something. If not you....someone else they've 'pre-hired'.

well if that is the case, i'll throw in my dad's 30 years he drove semi truck, cause he'd always bring home an extra log book for me to 'pretend'. Think i knew how to fill out a logbook before i was 10.

    LOL
At least with my time I was not counting I had a CDL.
5 years of it I was in College and only driving on breaks, so did not count that.
Then the other years I was doing other things, ski instructing, running a lumber yard, working on boats, working on trucks, etc.
So I did not count that time.
I just seem to see many people count all the time they have held a CDL, even if they were not driving.
It was just a question that popped into my head at times, that I finally asked. That is all.

I colored 'em in a coloring book when I was five. Does that count?
