Drivers who start with SWIFT its great when you start out but, if they order you to run when your not suppossed to, they start getting nasty. i guess its if you get a really hissy DM like the betterhald and I had, we ran whereever he asked us to never refused a load, ran as hard as we could, Driver myself for a good 10yrs she was almost a yr under her belt as was getting better by the day. but they screwed ME over. will explain in seperate posts unless you can find my grip else where within this forum thanks MIKEE from Albany,ny

Hopefully not for you. But who knows.

Yeah go ahead and plan on being there til Monday morning. Memphis is one of the worst terminals to get stuck at for a weekend. However, it is one of the better for B services. Also, Martinsburg, WV is great for getting work done (and getting stuck at too lol).

These are some really trying times! Swift did it to me again! I get another load yesterday that's only requires only 6 hrs of driving that delivers tomorrow! This time I can't deliver it early. So do you know what i'm going to be getting paid for 3 days... $37.84. Layover pays more than that! Anyway, I got to change scenery and got a little warmer weather.

davan, where are you now? i went to gainesville fl. yesterday and seen a whole bunch of swift trucks. I got on the cb and tried to ask some questions but no one had their cb on i guess do to the picking and makin fun of swift drivers. my real question is how do swift drivers manage in truck stops and rest areas without the truck running? everyone i seen had no lights on and it was not running. do they have the gin paks installed in the truck? also do u get to take your truck home during home time? thanks a bunch

I am scheduled for Feb 9th ... but since i have my Class A they will try to fit me in sooner. I was suppose to train with Driver Solutions and then run with USA Trucks but I ended up selecting Swift.

I've never been pressured to run illegal. If I get a pplan I can't do, I simply turn it down because of HOS, and they take it off me. If I'm already under a load and for some reason can't make delivery on time (weather, accident blocking the road, takes too long to get loaded, etc) I send in a macro 22, and they either reschedule the appt, or tell me to deliver as soon as I can get it there.
Note to all newbies: if you get a DM that pressures you to run illegal, get a new DM. Talk to your fleet manager, or terminal manager, or call Phoenix Safety if you have to. It is not Swift policy for drivers to run illegal. If someone tells you to, they are wrong. Period.pawpaw and ChipnChair Thank this.
