Hi everyone, Just finished training and got my CDL-A and was just wondering if anyone out there has any info on the Swift orientation/training in New Boston,Michigan. Lots of changes going on here and since I have been unemployed for more than 1 1/2 years options are few and far between. These trucking companies need to stop and look at the economy and change their policies. They all say 3 years of employment history but mean 3 current years of employment history with no gaps. I have made the decision to go to swift and stick it out for the first year then look to something better. It's Funny ,Conway,(my first choice) only accepts 3 years of current employment including only 1 year on unemployment but said when I get 6 months driving in...give them a call!!! How does this conform with their 3 current years of employment history? These companies need their policies mandated and changed to conform with the current situation in the country. Anyway , just wondering if anyone had any info on Swift and their orientation/training in Michigan. Headed there on the 18th of October.
