OK. I recently got my CDL-A refresher. I'm set to go to start orientation with Swift Transportation in Salt Lake City, UT on Monday, August 3rd. My Recruter told me that Swift no longer paid rookie drivers only 25 cents per mile for runs over 300 miles and that now they pay 36 cents a mile for runs that are over 300 miles that are West of the Mississippi and 37 cents per mile for runs that are over 300 miles that are East of the Mississippi. Now I read an article online saying that Swift had the largest driver pay increase in their history in May of 2015. But I can't find a driver pay scale for Swift anywhere on the web. I want to know if anyone can tell me that what my Recruter told me was factual, or if he was just telling me what I wanted to hear. Thanks.

That chart isn't right. They probably pulled it off of Swift's outdated website.

Thanks for letting me know.

How can you all walk into jobs having no idea what you're going to make, needing to post on internet message boards seeking info because you don't trust the company you're about to commit your livelihood to. Blows mah mind.
Be better off waiting tables it seems. -
