That's good to hear, at my previous job the bonus' were taxed at 50%. Maybe it isn't considered supplemental income at Swift.

Had to edit. Found out that it's up to the employer how much they tax it. At the federal level it's all taxed the same.

Yeah the IRS changed the rules on bonuses a few years ago.

I guess, because it is included with a normal paycheck, it is simply taxed as it would be normally.
I'm sure it bumps us up on the tax bracket for that week, but no worse.

I've seen the bonus in the first, second or third week of the month after the cutoff.
It all depends on when payroll gets it done.

Vacation pay is paid separately, but even that is not taxed at 50%. I think it turns out to be around 25%, if I remember correctly.

If you're trying to make an event or something, just tell them. You wanna stay good with your dispatcher, if they actually remember you. Sometimes you just gotta tell them you're staying home longer once you get home. They'll be cool with it, or you cam offer to bring the truck in. They won't ask you to bring the truck in for 2 extra days, lol.

Home time days do not roll over. It is reset when you come off home time.
But like Brandson indicated, if you are in good with your DM (NOT a dispatcher) things can be worked out if you need more time sooner.

And no, I have a load over the weekend.
It has a LOT of time on it, however. Hopefully I can deliver it a bit early.

With swifts new starting pay at .36cpm, are they worth it? The recruiter says the average miles is 2400-3200 a week. For a starter company, they pay a ton right after 3 weeks training.... Whereas a lot begin at .31 to .33 cpm. Anyone out of the Lewiston terminal?

Do you like a camera in your truck looking at you? I did like Swift until this.
