Yeah I know, I should stay away from all I have read and heard on here and from current drivers they have. BUT, in life you have to take what you can get on occasion and this is one of those occasions.

I am scheduled for orientation on the 28th for 3 days and then a 2 day class on strapping for me to start on skateboards. I have about 3 years experience with hauling lumber all over the southeast from a few years back with 24' straight trucks and wanted the flatbeds.

I have read all the threads on here about Switfy and was really curious about being picked up the day after training by a mentor. I was told by the recruiter (yeah I know most speak with a forked tongue) I would be on a truck with a trainer as soon as strapping classes are complete.

Has anyone actually been through their orientation and gotten on a truck with in a matter of hours or is it more like days??

Also how far is the hotel they put you up in to the terminal?

You'll be on a truck in no time....they have to get you a drivers number assigned and then finish your background check. So if you finish on Wed then you'll get a call friday from a mentor or monday at the latest, profiding nothing is wrong in your backgrund. Good luck. Swift is getting smart and trying to do things right, Greer is a one of the worst as far as showers and respect but hold your head high and refuse to not take ANY crap from anyone. Know who to call and pick your battles, you'll be fine.

They know there are plenty of people out there, ex-drivers especially, who know HTML and Java. People who can build a site in a week or even less.
