so i spoke to a recruiter today she said they have apu in trucks? i thought that they did not? also they say since i will be attending the driving academy and no experience that the mandatory schedule is 14 day out with 2 days off? i asked if i could stay out longer she said after i get more experience is this right?

To the second question it's probably correct. I would think that you should be able to stay out as long as you want except for maintenance issues,etc and they would see you as more of an asset to them as long as there's freight to haul. I'm not familiar with swift trucks so I don't know about the apu's

I've seen a few trucks with apu's from swift, but the newbie certainly isnt getting one.

I've been out of school for 4 1/2 months tying up loose ends, and now I'm on my way to orientation with swift. I'm a little nervous about the road test, since the last time I drove a truck was in school. Any good advice?

Road test (2 years ago anyway) is after time out with trainer.
