I was just reading that Swift's training costs 3.9k, and that they reimburse you over 26 months of working for them.
What would happen if you left them after say a year or 6 months? Anyone know how the reimbursement is paid out.
Their site doesn't make any mention of a contract for a minimum work period, as far as I've found.
Swift reimbursement plan?

for the first 13 months they pay and you pay. At the end of that 13 months it's paid for but then they continue to reimburse you for 13 more months. that way at the end of 26 months Swift has completely paid for your schooling.
You leave before 6 months and you will owe the whole thing.
Oh, and yes you WILL sign a contract, legal and binding prior to starting the schooling. -
They won't give you a paper saying you completed your training.
Some companies will force you to retrain because of that. -
If you work with them for 6 months, or a year, or other period of time.. isn't it assumed that you passed training?

They will give you your paper. You recieve that at the end of orientation before you go out with your mentor. As per the loan agreement, if you decide to end employment with swift before the loan is repaid, you owe the remaining balance of the loan immediately. (They give you 15 days to pay off the remainder. You are not required to work for them for any length of time, but coming up with 3000+ bucks is difficult. Besides, if you stick with them for 2 years, not only will your training be free, you'll also have the expierience and will be able to get a job with almost any other trucking company out there. (As long as you keep your record clean!)
