    Not really. Identical percentages for oos and when you factor in the number of drivers/power units they are statistically worse than Swift on crash metrics.

    Number of drivrs is really meaningless. Miles driven is the best metric. And while UPS has 5x the trucks, the miles driven is only about 1.5times the mileage more. 1.8 billion for Swift vs. 2.9 billion for UPS.
    If you look at my previous post Swift has a better fatality record than UPS based on miles driven. Kinda shocked me too....
    Now total wrecks on public roads (doesn't count parking lot wrecks that's 100% taken care of with insurance I'm sure) let's see...
    UPS total miles: 2,949,212,771
    UPS total crashes: 2,373
    UPS miles per crash: 1,242,820
    Swift total miles: 1,816,140,546
    Swift total crashes: 1,651
    Swift miles per crash: 1,100,025

    So while UPS is a safer company, it's by the very thinnest of margins....
