That had to be the best mistake he ever made! I can't imagine driving a school bus. Way back in the dark ages, I drove for Denver Tramway, (what was at that time, the city bus line for metro Denver.) We had a contract to supplement the Denver School District buses. I made a grand total of TWO of those runs, had a talk with my supervisor, and never ran another student run again.

Really? I call bs on that, because the rm gps is just like every other one, it can and does make mistakes.

They ALL do!! I've been routed thru a corn field and a shopping mall!! If they had a cabelas in that mall I would have stopped I'll admit...but I digress.

I'm currently running both Garmin and RM side by side. Just gathering info for a full blown in depth review. Want another few weeks to finish it though. Don't ask how I came to be the owner of two perfectly fine GPS's, bit of a story.

But in short, both are good but both have some weird routing quirks.

I ran a system that always worked great. It's called MAP and it never has to be charged or plugged in.

What has always amazed me is how people have NO idea how they get to work. I would call for directions and have to be handed off two or three times before finally talking to somebody who would inevitably give me directions with a low bridge or 'No Commercial Vehicles' after me asking numerous times 'Are you sure this route is suitable for commercial vehicles'? Even if they do actually know they never know street names or exit numbers. How the heck do they ever get to work? :biggrin_25511:

I found if you remove uturns and small roads it helps but I've been told to turn on roads that shouldn't be lol but that's when you have to stop and think

The biggest quirk I find in the 730 is the propensity to route me on a 5 mile loop to get to certain truckstops... Pilot in DuBois PA, TA in Troy IL and Bosslemans in Grand Island, NE immediately come to mind.

It will try to send me off an exit before and drive a 5 mile loop through the back roads to get there.
