Nice! I love points. I'm up to about 5300 right now. I'm saving them up for maybe a different blue tooth or something.
Yeah I have the lunch box one. Works well. Heats quick.
I know the one u got. Its on my list. It looks like the toaster oven type if I remember correctly.

I'm currently just east of Memphis at a Pilot on I40.
This load picked up near Worcester, Mass and is delivering tomorrow morning in Memphis. I'm running on recap hours so I only had a little over 3 hours to drive today. I get back more tomorrow.
The last load took me from Evansville, IN up to Woburn, Mass. I was fearing the drive thru PA and into New England but it wasn't bad. Actually, it was pretty nice. Weather was good for the most part. Things went relatively smoothly. I ate some awesome pizza and calzone that was delivered to me at the T/A on exit 5 of I84. Mass drivers were relatively sane and courteous. This load has been pretty smooth as well other than some sitting on I81 in Virginia due to a bad accident. I finally stopped at the Lee Hi truck stop in Lexington VA that i read about on here. Cool place. Looks like they have full service pumps? Not sure what that means but a couple of guys working there mentioned it when I pulled into the fuel island. Bought my official Lee Hi zip up sweatshirt too. This load is only about 4800 lbs so its been an easy run.
Got home time in Richmond next week and looking forward to it. I feel like I could run for a while longer if I didn't have the holiday home time scheduled. I've been out for a little over 3 weeks now and don't feel burned out at all as sometimes happens.
My new DM that replaced the "developmental driver leader" has been a stand up guy. He does what he says he is going to and it seems he actually cares. A very nice change.Grijon Thanks this. -
A little project I've been doing has been turning out pretty cool.
On my last home time in WA I found a decent map of the U.S. at a Kinkos. I printed it out, blew it up in size and made a bunch of copies. The idea was for me to basically have a way to see where I go around the country at a glance.
As it is, I already have a small planner I use to indicate where I stay overnight everyday, my starting and ending miles and any note worthy events. However this didn't really show me exactly how I bounced around the country.
I just started this mapping a little under a month ago and already it is pretty cool. Each individual route is tracked on the major highways I travel. I put a small date next to where ever I crash for the night and the routes are all outlined with a different color highliter. I update it nightly when I shut down. I'll probably start a new map after every home time unless it starts to look too congested prior to then.scottied67 Thanks this. -
Doc I was doing the same thing in the beginning but then just stopped, I was using the map in my atlas to mark places and stuff.
I do have every single pre plan I have ever gotten written down and directions to a lot of them so I could go through and do a new map if I really wanted to spend all those boring hours doing it
I have those little pocket composition books for my loads so i can keep it in my pocket when I go into shippers/recievers etc, I keep track of the addresses, BOL/PU #'s etc, trailer being used, weight, routed miles bla bla bla. I can tell you almost day to day where I have been but its also a record keeping for myself in case swift ever cheats me on a load. Hasnt happened yet but I heard others it has.
and yeah the oven I have is sorta like a toaster ovenDocWatson Thanks this. -
Your truck should have a manual. When I first got into my truck I read it to become as familiar as possible with what I am driving. You'll likely find information about the shut off switch in there.

a lot of trucks dont have the manuals, past drivers losing them, stealing them or whatever it might be. I had 4 trucks now and just 2 had manuels, this new freight has every book and doc in it.
