Speaking of lawsuits- the Celadon precedent will be tough for most shady leasing companies to duck. Charging more for fuel to lease operators than they actually pay. Celadon L/O sued for that discount and won. Swift and others are soon going to face the music on that, too. And there is another class action they are losing traction on, too. Shorting miles paid.

All of the other factors you guys mentioned are still in play.

20% isn't the end of the world. But it is a start.

    Shorting paid miles...

As a company driver for Swift I have noticed that the paid miles are getting very close to actual miles in the last year or so.
Sometimes it is off 10% or so, but for the most part they are very close. 3-5%.

I have been with Swift for over 4 years, so I have seen the difference.
Now, usually, when I drive more than the paid miles it is actually on a better and faster route. It is a route that I would have chosen over the shortest.
That is not something that I would contest.

The economy doesn't help. Sorry i find all trucking companies to be similar. Its like saying McDonalds is a lot different from Burger King. My experience with Swift was positive for the most part.Like other companies i drove for. Your kidding yourself if you think diffferent.
