Swift stock is crashing, blames it on them losing drivers and driver shortage

How is it a joke?
Including the increase of bonus pay I'll see a 10% increase, and that is after a similar increase a year ago.

 

No bonus pay for L/O. Fsc is cut down miles are down

 

Miles seem to be down for everyone, and I don't understand why. This is the time of year when things are picking up.
As a company driver I find the pay increases to be very good.

But the miles... I wonder why freight should be low this time of year.
It seems I ran better miles during the 'slow' times than now.

Is Swift ramping up on new drivers in anticipation of a driver shortage due to the new driver cams?
That would leave us short on miles.

 

FSC is down for everybody ... but so is the price of fuel. My net is actually up Q1 15 over Q1 14 ... on less miles. And my miles are only down due to the truck being down for a new turbo and cam. My actual running miles per week are still above 3K.

 

Not my miles they are not like they were. I could go 2500 a wk and that's a slow week now I am happy with that. Last wk I did 3200, this week 1900 and I have been out for 2.5 weeks. They seem to always give crap miles when I go home and I understand that since you need to be in a certain area, but I don't care where I go.
