Oh no, not Jerry. Giving up his millions again? Na. Just left better to a rumor. Even if he did sell, he would just keep it in the family like he did before.

I heard they decided not to sell. Instead they are lowering driver pay .05 per mile. :)

Swift isn't (publicly) for sale. Rumors that it's "for sale" have circulated for years. Swift (which is to say Mr. Moyes) recently attempted to, once again, go public in an effort to reduce some of its crushing debt. The overall market view was that Swift stock was not a good investment, in part because of that debt burden and recent losses.

as 'hurtin' for cash' as some would like to make them out to be....you think they'd be worth anything to a potential buyer?

if it was sold. it would be in the news here in Arizona. The only thing that been reported is the owners are trying to raise money and get there debt under control.

Swift is planning several pay increases for its drivers this year. The hikes will total about 2 percent for the year, with more-experienced drivers likely to receive up to 5 percent, he added.

Really. Will these increases also include the L/P's or O/O's

Moyes said he hopes to increase the owner-operated trucks to about 50 percent of the fleet.
