I am wanting to get on with Swift, but they don't hire trainees from from my area.I will need to establish residency in either Arizona or New Mexico. Does anyone know which of these states it will be easier to do this in?It's getting complicated, but it's looking like I am going to have to rent a place for a couple of months that I won't even live in, just to have an address so I can get a DL from that state. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Swift training- no hire zones

Since they're domilcieled in PHX, go there. Az. DMV gives you a drivers license on the spot, not mailed later.

I would do more research and find a better company and school. Shouldn't be hard to do if you look at all the places you can get financing for school. Have you even looked or are you just taking the easy advertised way?

I had a decent experience with Swift, but I am certain a new driver can do better.

Word to the wise:
DO NOT MOVE, UPROOT, RELOCATE, DISPLACE, SLIDE ON DOWN, OR ANYTHING ELSE FOR ANY MOTOR CARRIER JOB....especially that one...
Stability is a hot-ticket item in this business, and that includes places to live as well as jobs - stay where you are at, do your homework and find a carrier that will hire you from your locale.
You'll be glad you did...PainNdaNeck Thanks this.
