In four short days on the forums, you've managed to talk smack about four different companies (that's one per day. Maybe in a few years you'll have all of them with 200 or more trucks covered) you've tossed out an insulting term for inexperienced drivers (FNG) that was used appropriately only in the Vietnam War (were you actually a part of that or were you a draft-dodger who ran to Canada like a coward?) you have attacked another member for word usage although I'm pretty sure most of us understand what that member was saying and claim to have done it all and seen it all in a claimed 44 years OTR. If you have, in fact, seen it all, it's time to hang up the keys. When you know it all, you become dangerous.

You have absoutely no credibility. Even BlackW900 and SouthernPride do not claim to know it all, although I believe that between the two of them, they pretty well have it covered. And yes, they talk smack about companies...with the credibility you lack to back it up.

You will be another good use of my ignore button.

    Ciao.

They can, indeed pay for themself, Rick for example, would have put another 500 a month in his pocket last year during the summer months, the APU in combonation with the Wabasta heater is good enough for fuel savings.

Show me your numbers that a APU is not worth the 2500-5000 (used, but I would never) 6-8k New, Over the life of your truck, or I will have to disagree. Idleing fuel v. the 1/10th or so of fuel that the APU uses will pay for itself over time. I can get some numbers togeather for you using Rick's truck as a baseline if you like, being that he was a banker and personal accountant I am apt to take his advice on how the numbers come out when crunched. And some of us as I think someone mentioned 'in it for the long haul' or some such, are in it for such a thing.

What APU are YOU buying that costs ten grand? One of the huge ones that does more than what I need it for? It boggles the mind to be perfectly honest why. I have seen them cheaper than 10 grand. As for your first statement, I understand and respect that OPINION on how I have come into what knowledge I do have, but as you have not been with me to see what I see, learn how and what I learn and hear what I hear you have no idea what I do to get the knowledge I have. The lease operators that I have been with (even the bad one that was a prick) was happy to show me statements, tell me how they did it, tell me what they did wrong, show me how they have suceeded, why, and how. As well as their biggest mistakes, and the biggest sucesses they have had. I am aware of a good bit of what it takes to succeed. I would apprecate it that you would not assume when it comes to me. I will happily awnser direct questions (Preferably through PM without an attack tone to it wich puts me on the defensive) so that you can pinpoint what I do and do not know, and at that point I would happily listen to your thoughts on my knowledge, learn anything you wish to share, and move on happily with my life wiser for it.

I do not jump into things half ####ed, I do research, I ask questions, I see things for myself, I do more research. Your not taking into account the day or two you sit sometimes, among other things, but you have your thoughts, I have mine.

As for why swift does not have them in all their trucks, I admit this is speculation, but as I know some mechanics, and they have told me that adding or subtracting things to a truck CAN effect the warrentee or lease agreement THIS may be why Swift does not put them in due to warentee and modifications to the truck that would void such things.

So in the future sir, while I respect your opinion, try to find out what I know before you assume I know nothing.:biggrin_2558:
