That's a good point too. If you're going to take a week off, you have to put aside enough to cover your lease payment and insurance. Otherwise, you finish up in the red.

Maybe Bad Trucking Companies isn't the place to start. Go to Company DAC Reports and look into each company individually. If you have questions, ask people who seem to know what's up rather than outside hecklers.

That's up to you to find out. In my case my wife is employed and we use her coverage.

Taxes you will have to ask an expert sorry.

I'll start another thread later in the Swift forum detailing Taiowa's earnings since the beginning of the year. Keep in mind, I set aside way more than Flatbed22 does in my maintenance account.

Maybe my math is wrong but you ran 3992 total miles on a profit of $1648 on which you still have to pay the taxes out of. If you take 25% out of that for taxes you end up with $1236. $1236/3993 miles=.3096 cents per mile.

in my case i use 8% of the gross so on his numbers i would set aside $300 for taxes

and that gets me with in $100 on my quarterly's

and i hope he is setting money aside for taxes:biggrin_25512:

so even a figure like 10 % would be kinda spot on for taxes(just cause its easy to work with)---sure wouldnt want to give them any more than i would have to
but if you buy tires or anything truck related you can use that at the end of the year to offset taxes????
