Swift's lease is not for everybody. I get that. It's hard work to successfully lease any truck. It's hard work to buy on the open market.
In my experience, that first year bites bad enough without the added stress and complications of a lease. You will never see me encourage a first year driver to lease or buy any truck from anybody. They need to concentrate on learning to be a successful driver first. It's not as easy as it sounds.
There are a few Swifties on these forums who successfully lease within their first year. However, they can tell you how difficult it is to learn all that stuff at once.
I have no hard feelings toward you, SweetDaddy. You know I'm not going to blow sunshine up anyone's arse. Nor will I holler all bad things about any company. We're still on for that Mexican food if you're up my way again.

You said that what they were doing is " legal ", well its NOT " legal ". This is considered FRAUD plain and simple. When you inter a contract and fraud is used at any time the contract is null and void. If you bring this to their attention and tell them you are tearing up the contract and they tell you that they will take you to court, you can show the court what they are doing and you will win hands down. But I don't think they will expose their fraud in court. I hope this will help you.

You have drive a lot more when you lease because you have more obligations.
If you take the no money up front deal. You will be billed an extra 100.00 a week until you pay them back the down payment. You will pay extra 50.00 a week for a bond until pay off 1500.00 for that. Plus other little things.
My main advise for success is time management and drive slow. -
interesting, well im going to lease a truck myself next week for $525.00 per week for 29 weeks thats just the truck payment with no buyout fees and i get the title so a kenworth 2007 t660 pretty decent truck will cost me $15,225.00 out the door, not bad i must say...
no its not with swift ,its with a private lease company that books frieght with another carrier -
Good luck with that. Hope it works for you. Keep us posted. Maybe start a thread about it and post a link to it here? I would subscribe just to see how you do.
