Yeah Pilots are the worst I think its like 3 or 4 days there. The TA's are pretty good though I think they give you like a week or a week an a half. Not sure about the rest of them cause I lost my loves card and never showered there and have fueled at a petro once.

For those of you who have had some interest in my issue with Swift - They have offered me a two week flat-bed mentorship, with pay, with a non-guarantee of a truck following that. 'course, they told me I'd have a van truck after the van mentorship too. They've known, right from the beginning, I did not want to do flat-bed. I'm 57 with a not so great back and I sure don't need to be re-injuring it or even worse. So, I'll take the two weeks pay and see if I'm any closer to getting a van truck. HAHAHAHA. What a fiasco!

I head out tonight for Kansas and Illinois (with no free showers now) and back in two weeks. Will fill you in upon the return.
    Thanks for your interest.

In PHX I did the two days of flatbed classroom time a couple of months ago right after I completed the CDL classroom, range and road training. The mentor is based in PHX and I live just outside of it.

that is awesome do you know who your trainer is if you can ask for jim u. he is a awesome feller to drive with i had him in my truck when he first started the company

ole man glen hardazz ex nam colonel awesome feller ever have any questions call him if he gave you his cell if he didnt pm me and i will give it to you as far as a dm if based out of phoenix say no to michael a... chad is the best and the assistante fb div supervisor is the next best

and if chad asks why just say you heard it through the grapevine that mike is not a good person

especially when i had almost a 1%percent idle time and he messages me to bring down my idle i ask him why its already as low as it can go and he told me to just bring it down and quit asking questions dont call or com back in reference to it ahahhahahahahhahahah what an idiot

i dont think the truck was ever turned off after that he is a a hole..

then one of my kids called me and was talking logs to me he said he got a preplan and was so close on his hours that he didnt know weather to accept it or not so he commed mr allen for advice and all he got was a response of just reply to the plan and tried again and got the same reponse so we worked out the details of the trip and he only had so much time falling off but a few daystill delivery from pittsburgh to detroit so hecould just set possibly and get a reset after loaded and then run or get it make the run and then set but sometimes the youngans just want a lil help and mr allen wasnt even doing that heck of a supportive dm there imo what a a hole........!

sorry gals for the excitement of my french but its the kindest word i could associate witht eh feller:biggrin_2554:

i edited to be kind and still get my point across

Shower whats a shower? LOL, just kidding I agree some of the terminals showers are not the cleanest. The rags they give us don't do much for drying ya. I also keep forgetting to buy some soap and I have yet to find a terminal that has soap I may have just used the wrong ones. Before I bought some shower shoes I would never shower at a terminal. Many times I'd rather use baby wipes then go into a Swift shower. Laundry I was surprised that Columbus the cost to do a full load $1.00, I have heard Edwardsville was free? I guess we know what terminals care about their drivers :biggrin_25525:

I think Loves and Petro are 5 days but don't quote me on that I rarely fuel at either. AmBest I think is also 5 days.

Lets face women are not as big a slob as we men can be.

Both my trainers have been real cool with their TA/Love's cards to get me free showers. I have showered in the Denver/Lancaster/OKC and Edwardsville terminals, workable I guess. Reminded me of the YMCA I lived at in the 70's...
