You must be a 2500mi a week driver based on that comment. And your wrong "running the system" is not the best way. From point A to point B is my trips are about 1100 to 1200 round trip I make 3 a week you like math so add it up. I'm also paid the same MT or loaded and DH back 99.9% of the time. Now has for money to be made at Swift I know for a fact that there are company drivers who make 90 to 110K a year. In each case they have 7+ years with the company, point A to B runs and do mentor ship and only take maybe 1 day a week off.

Ok next "dedicated account pay less then OTR". All I can say is HAHAH WRONG you have a lot to learn if that's what you think or should I say maybe not for you personally but for most people they work out better.

64mph trucks once again wrong they are 62mph trucks!!!!!!!! Thankfully mine has glitched computer and runs 65. 54mph daily average well maybe you but for someone who's running open highway for the most part and has enough brains to miss rush hour traffic its a bit higher then that.

The last thing I want to point out is that by saying its impossible to do 3500mi a week legally shows that you don't have the experience that you would like to claim. Or you have a really bad work ethic theres a difference between gaining your CDL seven years ago and actually having seven years of OTR exp. And anyone who did would know that 3500mi weeks are a very common thing at almost any speed.

    3500/7=500
    500/64=7.81hr
    500/62=8.06hr
    500/54=9.25hr

    3500/6=583.3
    584/64=9.12hr
    584/62=9.41hr
    584/54=10.81hr

I used 64 and 54mph because those are the numbers you presented and well the math kinda speaks for itself now doesnt it.

That is if everything goes absolutely perfect and you can average that speed. The facts of the matter are that with a 62 mph truck you average approx 54mph and that is fact unless you are driving basically unloaded and pretty much midwest only. Then you might average 58 or 59. If your truck only does 62, you obvuiously cannot average 62--at least not legally. You also said that you go home at least 2 nights a week and every weekend, so that figures into that also. If youare bringing home $1200 a week then you are making at least $1500 a week and that works out to roughkly $.45 cpm average for 3300 miles per week. Once again, I say no way, not at Swift.
Dont question my ethic either, Im not questioning yours--Im just questioning your obvious disregard for facts. I averaged more than 600 miles a day on a good day when I was over the road and I busted my butt to get the miles and get home, I ususally averaged around 2800. Which, BTW, is what DOT says you are averaging. If you rile through an inspection and you are logging 3300 miles per week and your truck says Swift on the side, brace your self for that fat ticket that you will get. You really think that DOT doesnt know that you cant do that?
    90-100K? Swift? Company driver? BS!
It kills me how many of you people beleive all these stories from these guys that make all this money driving for places like Swift as a company driver. Stories, that is all they are is stories. If you really could make that kind of money and it was that great a place, do you really think they would hire a 1000 drivers a week? That's right, they wouldnt! There would be a waiting list 10 miles long to be a driver there. the facts are that I could apply online right now, do an interview tomorrow and a background and I could be in 1 of their trucks by next Monday, that is how bad that they need drivers due to their turnover rate and the fact that they will hire anybody who can pass their checks. If you could honestly make that kind of money there would be no need for that--Im not buying it!

Ironic, what I read into this is that you will personally say what ever in order to try and add weight to your argument or that you think proves you right. Made up statistics and all of that and that's why most of these guys are having an easy time of pegging you.

It also shows that the learning curb pwned you dude keep in mind that just because you had/have problems it doesn't mean that others are.

I work for Swift on a dedicated account, Fruit of the loom. I haul containers out of the ports, of Gulfport,MS New Orleans, LA and sometimes Charleston, sc. I get any where from 3000 to 3400 miles a pay check. I do about 12000ish miles a month and I don’t fudge the log books at all. I get a 34+ hour reset at the house every week . I am off ether Friday Saturday or Saturday Sunday. In my 64 miles truck ( i have not had the nerf bat hit my mph yet) I can go from Gulfport, MS to Bowling green, Ky in 9 hours and 15 to 10 hours depending on Nashville. i get .40 a mile and its all drop and hook.

Let's see, 600+ miles per day and figure a 6 day week for the one day off most companies give; that looks like 3,600 miles per week (3,000 on a 5 day week) yet you only did 2,800?

As for applying online and being in a truck in a week, unless things have changed it ain't gonna happen as they are currently not taking rehires or experienced drivers due to the lead time they need to get people into a truck. But why would timtruck care to check the facts before making a statement? And EVERY company hires anybody that can pass their checks.

Bottom line, since timtruck is not interested in Swift one has to wonder why he keeps coming here blowing smoke?

And if anyone has a disregard for facts it is timtruck. Throws out "facts" like lost customers and cannot back them up. That's becuase there is no back up for them. Just his dream ideas.

They are "not taking rehires or experienced drivers due to the lead time they need to get people into a truck".( Whatever "lead time" they are talking about), but then again--that statement right there is again proving our point. Thank You much. Why would you hire nebies over experienced drivers? That's right-you dont pay, period! It just so happens that about 8 months ago I did just that, got hired and they were gonna put me in a truck in less than a week--did it just to prove somebody else like you wrong who tried to tell me the same thing. Needless to say it was just to prove that person wrong, I never intended on working there.
Man, I love it when you Swifties dont even think about what you are saying. HAH!

If you are coming from Gulfport, MS--why are you going through Nashville??? I used to do that run and I never went through Nashville, kinda out of the way.

Do you ever give up?? Is it your duty to run around here telling people they're wrong all the time??? This is a thread for peoples opinion, IT IS OKAY to not agree with everybody all the time. State your 2 cents worth, and be done with it. Why do you have to continuously cross examine others on here, trying to "show" where they are wrong, when in fact you cannot give 100% accurate information??? I can admit when I am proven wrong, and accept it. Others can't face the music, they have to twist the incorrect facts they've given, to 'fit' their forumula, when it is easier just to say "yeah, i was wrong."

YOU DONT LIKE SWIFT......WE GET IT ALREADY !!!!!!!!!!!

man i wish i had Jedi superpowers so i could just waive my hand and say, "Move along....move along"

Well, it would not take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. The lead time for a new driver is 6 weeks or 42 days. An experienced or rehire would go to orientation and then be ready for a truck in three days. You are so smart and you couldn't figure that out? And for your information back 8 months ago they were not putting this hold on drivers. It has only been in about the last four months. And of course, with all your vast experience with at least two unnamed companies , plus Swift, Knight, JB Hunt and Celadon, you would not have had to go with a trainer. That's at least six companies in seven years. That explains alot about your character. Oh, and Werner wouldn't hire you either. I guess they were the smart ones.

It is easy to see why he is the way he is, snowman. He has allegedly worked for at least six companies in seven years. What does that tell you. At least one of those he admits he was fired from and probably at least one more because of a probationary incident from another company. He is such an expert but apparently is not good enough for companies to keep him on. I guess that explains why he has refused to answer the question about who he drives for or has driven for.

    He IS an expert.........

    .................... at tearing up equipment. ;-) :biggrin_25524::biggrin_25523:

And it really isnt about answering the question 'who he drives for', as so much as it is asking the question "where can you go fresh out of school and get $0.30cpm" I've heard from others, that TMC, you can, but you'd never hear it from him. But enough, i am done talking about timmy or even commenting on any of his meaningless and mindless posts.
