    400 miles per trip is great. 400 miles per week is a serious problem that should have an obvious answer as to why. 400 dollars per week isn't spectacular either, but there could be several reasons for this.

    We need more information to help you.

    That depends on your account. OTR, it's not ideal but I find it agreeable enough. Dedicated account? Usually get paid more so 400 miles per trip is likely ideal because it ensures you can get back to the hub and pick up another load the next day rather than taking a 750 mile load that takes 2 days. Then, your 2-day average is only 325.

    The best loads though? IMO, 99 miles or less. I'll do those all day long every day if they'd let me.

    Lol,yeah as a company driver it pays to take those loads not as l/p I think they dont even try to give those to lease operators,except maybe northeast,there is a bonus up there for it:biggrin_25525:

    I am a L/O, and I like the 400 mile per day loads. It gets me 2800 for the week. Give me a 1200 mile load, pu Wednesday morning, and Drop it Saturday morning, and I am a happy camper. There are times that I just like to take my time.

    Heck, I'll take a 400 mile trip .. p/u in the am, run it out in 6.5 hours, drop unload ... boogie out and pick up the next 400 trip in the afternoon, burn 100 miles off of it, complete the 300 mile the next day ... then move to the next 400 miler knock 200 miles of it ... grab and move, grab and move ... before you know it you have 3000 plus for the week

    Sorry, but I do not claim to be super trucker. I am quite content to run my 2800 miles every week, a very decent check, never run out of hours and never stressed. You can be super trucker and run all that you want.
