Hey, HMM, thanks for the post, sounds to me like you had an interesting but so far mostly pretty positive experience with Swift so far for the most part. Like the other folks on this thread I too would love to hear some more about your experiences with this company as soon as you can. I have heard a lot of bad but also quite a bit of good as well about Swift, and not too sure what to think about them. Reading about the experiences of others is invaluable to me as I try to determine whether they may be a carrier worth giving a try. So thanks again, and keep us posted whenever you get the chance.

Thanks, ilife.
I am going back to school on Sunday, my old room mate went back on Wendsday so I will see him when I get back up there. I will be joining his class when I get there so thats cool. He has already lost his room mate so he is going to talk to the Manager of the Hotel to get us paired back up agian. It is hard to find people you trust and get along with. I will check in on Sunday and go right back to where I left off at (DPS). When I pass the tests I will go to the range. I'll let ya'll know when I get back to San Antonio. -
did i miss something? your going back to school? please let me know because i am thinking of going to another school so i can sharpen up on my skills. Mainly downshifting. the money is not a problem because its paid for by my previous employer cause i was laid off due to outsourcing. can i just join swift school even though i already have my license and am willing to pay for it? and then they will pretty much guarantee me a job?

Yes you did miss something, read page 4 to find out what. From what was explained to me you can go to the school even if you have your license, we had 2 people in my old class that did. You can pay for it yourself if you pay it off before school is done you will get you money back in a lump sum after 6 months with swift. As long as you test out after your 6 weeks with a trainer you will be emplyed as a first seat driver with Swift. -
Is the school in Allentown? Thanks for the reply. Kind of new at this site... -
woops, allentown Pa, for you non yankees. I know there is a terminal there, but the school for training I'm not sure. I was told that you can go there for orientation, But school?

Murdock, If the Swift contract states that the cost of tuition will be deducted from payroll for a year and Swift never took it out, the driver drover OTR for the year, what are the financial pitfalls of him quitting now that his year OTR is complete?
What do you know about this?
