Not only that, they don't allow it.
It's really more drop yard size, and it is always jam packed full.
Fontana can get pretty full, but there is always Mira Mesa just a couple miles from Fontana.

Im sure the next driver will appreciate that. My truck is blowing nice and warm, and has other issues I'm going to lose productivity over when it coulda been put in the shop. But it's cool keep looking out for número UNOA21CAV Thanks this.
-
Must be something new.I've spoke to swifties and they could take trk home as long as you're not home more then 4 days.
-
I would'nt drove for an OTR company if I can't take the trk home. That's when I do the most cleaning on it.
-
I always wrote up whatever was wrong with it when I turned it in so it could be fixed between drivers. I know not all drivers do, since every truck I was ever assigned had to go into the shop before I drove it off the yard.
Depends on what terminal the driver is based out of. -
I don't know about you, but I work for the sole purpose of benefiting myself. I don't drive because it puts money in SWIFT's pockets, or my DM's pockets... I drive because it puts money in my pocket. I'm not going to lose time by getting the AC fixed, when I turn it in they will fix it. Time = $$. Hate to admit it, but if I could choose between me or someone else sitting to get the AC fixed, I sure wouldn't pick myself... That's the way the work works. On the bright side, I'm only 250 miles from hometime!

Thanks for being a team player, you are not a good example for new people that are going into the industry to follow. You have that its all about me attitude and no regard about anyone else. I'm sorry if it comes off harsh but i just cant believe how some people handle other peoples equipment or image. Have some pride and take care of the equipment even if you deem it to be a small issue. My 2 cents -
Oh it's no small issue. It's 90 here with 96% humidity, and the last driver that had this truck had the same attitude. I'm getting it fixed ASAP but I'm going through Gatorade like crazy, can hardly sleep and I don't find that to be a non issue. This can be dangerous as it gets hotter. I think they should start writing drivers up who leave tons of problems for the next guy, what happened to common curtesy?
-
Who says the last driver did'nt say something to the company already and nothing got done.He would'nt driving a trk without ac would he?Or did this driver just up and quit? It's hot enough, your company should pay for a room, now that would be the right thing to do.Afterall I bet dispatch is'nt sitting in front of their computer without A.C.

When I was doing the Walmart thing. Most of the time when I did write things up it would not get fixed.
First question they'd ask me. Are you staying in the truck. If yes it might get fixed if no. Chances were low.
